If you have ever tried to save an entire profile's Reels, you already know the problem: Instagram gives you no bulk download option. You can save a Reel to your own collections inside the app, but that keeps it locked inside Instagram - there is no way to pull the actual video files out, one by one or in bulk, to your computer. How to download all Reels from a profile (step by step)

1. Install IShort (free). Add it from the Chrome Web Store or the Edge Add-ons store. There is no account to create and nothing to configure.
2. Open the profile's /reels/ page. Go to instagram.com/username/reels/ for the public profile you want. This is the Reels tab, where IShort reads the Reels it can see.
3. Collect the Reels. Instagram loads Reels in batches as you scroll. Press IShort's Scroll button to auto-scroll to the end of the profile (or scroll yourself). IShort lists each post in its side panel with views, likes and comments.
4. Sort (optional). Click Views, Viral, Likes, Comments or Date. The bulk download follows this order, so sorting by views first means your folder starts with the most-viewed Reel.

Why Instagram can't do this natively

Instagram's only bulk option is Download your information (Accounts Center, Your information and permissions). It exports your own account as a ZIP, arrives by email after a wait that can run from minutes to days, and files the videos by date rather than by performance. It never works for someone else's profile, and the app's per-Reel "Download" option only appears when the creator allows it, adds a watermark on some posts, and saves one Reel at a time to your phone.

Honest limits

• Pace. IShort waits about one to two seconds between posts and pauses every 15 posts so Instagram doesn't block the requests. A 300-post profile takes a few minutes. If Instagram starts refusing, IShort stops and tells you how many files it saved; try the rest later.
• Collect first. Only posts in the list get downloaded. Collecting counts against your reel allowance (free plan: 500 reels one-time); the downloads themselves are free and unlimited.
